27/7/2015: I have qualified for the 2015 Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. Phew! What a relief it is to achieve my main goal for 2015. July has proven to be quite the emotional rollercoaster. It all started with the Ironman Frankfurt on July 5th. A top-5 finish was a must to secure my Kona slot. I trained for weeks and even went to Font Romeu for altitude training. Tine seventh in Ironman Frankfurt

5/7/2015: Tine has finished seventh in the 2015 Ironman Frankfurt, clocking in at 9:28:20. With temperatures soaring above 30 degrees Celsius, the heat played a major role in the race. Daniela Ryf from Switzerland (8:51:00) was the fastest pro woman. Julia Gajer (Germany; 09:01:58) and Caroline Steffen (Switzerland: 09:11: 55) completed the podium.   Tine kicked things off with a superb swim. Tine fourth in Ironman Brazil

  31/5/2015: Tine has finished fourth in today’s Ironman Brazil. A final time of 09:08:29 left her just shy of a spot on the podium. Ariana Monticeli from Brazil took the title in a fast 8:59:08. Elizabeth Lyles (US; 9:00:31) and Amanda Stevens (US; 9:01:27) completed the top-three.   Not the fastest swimmer of the pack, Tine felt good in the water today. Tine fourth in Ironman 70.3 Barcelona

17/5/2015: Tine has finished fourth in today’s Ironman 70.3 Barcelona. Tine started the half marathon in second position after a strong performance on the bike, but in the end Camilla Pedersen (Denmark; 4:33:34), Lucy Gossage (UK; 4:38:07) and Parys Edwards (UK; 4:38:41) were faster. Tine fourth in Ironman 70.3 Mallorca

9/5/2015: Tine has finished fourth in today’s Ironman 70.3 Mallorca. Clocking in at 4:33:23, Tine recorded a solid race with an especially strong bike performance. Daniela Ryf (Switzerland; 4:17:25) took the pro women’s title. Julia Gajer (Germany; 4:26:53) and Yvonne Van Vlerken (Netherlands; 4:29:03) completed the podium.   Despite a good start, Tine was not able to keep up with the top swimmers. Tine forced to retire in South-Africa

29/3/2015: Tine has had to retire in today’s Ironman South Africa. In her first race of the season, Tine ran into a complete off-day caused by a viral infection. It all started with a disappointing swim. Tine came out of the water in 17th position, 12 minutes behind Jodie Swallow. Tine wins Cologne half triathlon!

7/9/2014: Tine has won the Carglass Cologne Triathlon Weekend half distance event. Tine took the title in 04:22:13. Fellow Belgian Eva Kennis (04:35:15) and Grada Boschker (The Netherlands; 04:35:41) rounded out the podium.   Tine only decided last week she was going to wrap up her season in Cologne. After moving to a new home and a bout of food poisoning that forced her out of Ironman Mount-Tremblant a few weeks ago, she was unsure of her fitness. That doubt soon proved unfounded.
