19/5/2019: Tine was forced to retire from today’s Ironman 70.3 Barcelona. A tough training week left Tine with an empty tank for the race. That became clear immediately during the swim. Tine came out of the water in 9thposition with a deficit of more than 4 minutes. The bike leg brought no good news as Tine struggled and lost more time. This left Tine with the difficult decision – taking into consideration the rest of the season – to not lose more energy in the half marathon.

Fenella Langridge (UK; 4:37:42) won the race. Sara Van De Vel (Belgium; 4:44:15) and Gabriella Zelinka (Hungary; 4:45:09) finished second and third respectively.
